Dr Shahrdami joined Northwest Health in December 2017; he is a graduate of the Guilan University of Medical Science in Iran and has since obtained a Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy (Skin Cancer).
He has special interest in the areas of Diabetic Care, Skin Cancer Treatment. In his spare time, Dr Arya enjoys fishing and watching movies.

Dr Salem graduated from Tripoli University in Libya in 2004; she then worked in Libya for 5 years as a Doctor before moving to Australia.
She has completed a Masters in Public Health at the University of Sydney in 2011 and worked on many clinical trials whilst completing a Master of Philosophy in Medicine (Research) at the University of Sydney in 2015.
Dr Salem joined Northwest Health as a GP in 2016 and has a special interest in Women’s Health, Children's Health and Chronic Disease Management.
Ian is a principal at Northwest Health with more than twenty years experience in rural general practice. He has a keen interest in training the future health workforce and is the principal training supervisor in the practice.
Ian enjoys all facets of patient care.
He has specific interests in addiction medicine, the management of viral hepatitis and is both a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner and a medical review officer.
Ian is currently on the board of the Hunter New England Local Health District.
Dr Barazandeh joined Northwest Health in 2017; she is a graduate of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran.
Dr Fariba has a special interest in the areas of Women’s Health, Geriatrics and Mental Health. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, cooking and photography.
Dr Masoud graduated from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 2006, in 2012, he joined Northwest Health and after passing the required examinations he started working as a GP in early 2013.
He has obtained Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and he has a Diploma in Skin Cancer medicine from the Australian College of Skin Cancer.
Dr Masoud enjoys every aspect of General Practice and has a particular interest in the prevention and management of chronic disease and Skin cancer, including skin checks and skin cancer surgery.
Dr Khalesi received his Medical Doctorate degree in 2005 from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences which is one of Iranís top ranking medical schools.
In addition, he has received a PhD Doctorate degree in skin cancer from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. He has also published several scientific articles in international journals in this field, and has made valuable contributions to the better understanding of skin cancer.
He is interested in management of diabetes, asthma, heart diseases, hypertension, complicated health issues, also skin checks, skin cancer and skin diseases.
He regularly attends workshops and conferences to update his knowledge.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, reading books and travelling.

Dr Annamalai joined Northwest Health in 2017, she is a graduate from the National University of Ireland; she is currently studying a graduate certificate in Palliative Care at Flinders University.
She has a special interest in the areas of Women’s Health and Palliative Care.
In her spare time, Dr Vasuki enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her family and sewing.
Dr Genevieve Maher, MD, MPH
Dr Maher received her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2007 from the University of the Philippines-Manila, the top ranking medical university in the Philippines. She then worked as a General Practitioner in Manila, Philippines for 3 years before moving to Australia.
She completed her Masters in Public Health- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention with the University of Queensland in 2011. Upon graduation she joined the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Queensland as part of the teaching and research staff, wherein she contributed to and published several studies on health behaviours and improvement of health outcomes.
Dr Genevieve has now moved to Tamworth and joined Northwest Health as a GP in 2019. While she enjoys all aspects of patient care, she has a special interest in health promotion, women's and children's health, occupational health and chronic disease management.

Northwest Health is an accredited teaching practice for postgraduate training; we currently have Registrar Doctors working at the practice and they join us for a term of 6-12 months.
A Registrar is a registered medical practitioner who is furthering their training to specialise in General Practice.

Dr Huda Ab Aziz
Belinda is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Belinda is registered to provide services through Medicare and provides psychological assessment and treatment through WorkCover, Department of Veterans’ Affairs as well as those who wish to be seen privately.
Belinda provides intervention and support for adults and adolescents facing a range of difficulties including anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, perinatal mental health, stress, trauma, chronic pain, sleep, and grief and adjustment to change issues.
Simone is a Clinical Psychologist who is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. She is registered to provide specialist clinical psychology services through Medicare and provides psychological assessment and intervention for those referred through WorkCover, Department of Veterans Affairs or those who wish to be referred privately.
Simone has worked in a number of clinical settings which has enabled varied experience in working with a range of mental health and behavioural diagnoses. Simone has extensive experience in working with those of all age groups including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, as well as providing couple and family counselling.
Simone trained at the University of New England and utilises a range of evidence-based therapies and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to ensure quality care for clients and to promote long-term maintenance of skills and prevention of relapse.
Ashley is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, registered with the Dietitian’s Association of Australia (DAA). She is a registered Medicare Provider. Ashley became a dietitian because of a strong interest in nutrition and helping people.
She graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga in 2016, it was always her dream to work in the country. Ashley has had exposure and experience with a large variety of conditions including Type 1, 2 and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, oncology, liver disease, gastrointestinal disorders and general weight management. As a relatively new graduate dietitian she has an up-to-date knowledge about evidence-based approaches to nutritional management.
Ashley’s aim is to provide evidence-based, individualized nutritional care for all patients, answer any questions about nutritional misconceptions and improve the health of rural residents.
